چکیده
BiOX (X = Cl, Br, I) photocatalysts with dominant (110) facets were synthesized via a mannitol-assisted solvothermal method. This is the first report on exposed facets-, size-, and defects-controlled synthesis of achieved by mannitol. polyol alcohol acted simultaneously as solvent, capping agent, and/or soft template. The mannitol concentration new morphology surface properties was investigated in detail. At lowest tested, structure-directing causing unification nanoparticles, while at higher concentrations, it functioned solvent effect facet defects (Bi(3?x)+, Bi4+, Bi5+) photocatalytic activity nanomaterials under UV–Vis irradiation evaluated oxidation Rhodamine B (RhB) 5-fluorouracil (5-FU), an anticancer drug, reduction Cr(VI). Additionally, influence crucial factors formation discussed extensively, mechanism proposed. These studies presented simple method for synthesizing without any additional surfactants or shape control agents good activity. study also provided better understanding effects conditions crystal growth.

Since the discovery of their excellent performance as the light-absorbing semiconducting component in photovoltaic cells, the PbX3CH3NH3 (X = I, Br, Cl) perovskites have received renewed attention. The five polymorphs stable above 200 K - the tetragonal phases for X = I, Br, Cl and the cubic phases for X = I, Br - were studied using periodic DFT calculations involving hybrid functionals (PBE0 a...
